girls weekend

I was invited out to my friend Colette's families ranch in Okeechobee this past weekend to celebrate her birthday.It was a blast!There was 4 of us and we were like school girls again!The Ranch is stunning!I would love to have my own so this was a true indulgence for me.I have know Colette since i was 12 and Davin who also was there since i was in 1st grade, and Jessica since high school.we were able to participate in alittle of everything from cleaning horse poo to the local bars.It was great!!Saturday Frank and the kids came to pick me up so it was great that they were able to see and experience the ranch also.

I'm back!

Hi everyone! Sorry that i have been gone for a while but, there has been alot going on.First of all Frank an I have started our own construction company,Broedell Construction LLC, so that has kept me very busy with getting everything set up and so forth.Things are getting alittle busier now and we are more settled in. it was a little scary at first with the state of the economy but, i am confident that with franks talent as a contractor that we will be successful!
The next big thing was Bryces ear surgery.We found out about 9 months ago that bryce was deaf in his left ear.The doctor suggested an ear drum transplant but, this was a huge surgery and i was a little apprehensive.I looked into more and found a doctor in Boca that does the ear drum replacement but, he uses muscle from behind your own ear instead of using some foreign object or a donor eardrum!So Bryce had his surgery about a month ago and everything seems to be going well.The muscle seems to have taken well and now we just have to wait about 5 more months to see if he will regain his hearing.
Then to top it all off the kids started school about 3 days after the surgery.Rachel entered 7th grade(...OH MY GOD!!!)Broedy enetered 3rd and bryce is in Pre-K.I was happy to send then off after a very crazy summer!!!we now seem to be all settled back in and are trying to get adjusted!we hope everyone is well and look forward to hearing from you! xoxo

Wake boarding

I have become quite the boating pro and have been taking the kids out most days to wake board,tube, and hydro slide.Rachel has always been a natural, she doesn't seem to have a hard time with anything and then Broedy seems to struggle a little bit more. Well, his first time on the wake board yesterday he got right up the first time(It took Rachel many times her first time so he was thrilled)Then little Bryce decided that he wanted to try hydro sliding and was GREAT!!He kept yelling go faster.We are making so many fun summer memories, i will remember them forever!!

Fathers Day

Frank and Broedy took a day trip for Fathers day with our good friend matt to the Bahamas. They had a great time and the ocean was like a lake.Lots and lots of fish!!

Schools out

Yesterday was the first offical day of summer.We lounged around in the morning and headed to the beach.It was so beautiful it was about 85 degrees and breezy.We also were able to witness some sea turtle "special Hugging".The kids enjoyed the day!

Bike

Broedy was the recipient of a new bike.At his school there were 100 bikes donated to be given out to kids who showed respect, manners, and good citizenship skills.Broedy has always been a kind soul since the day he was born.There are definitely times when he is your usual 8 year old boy but, he is always very concerned about other peoples feelings.I am so happy he was recognized for this great quality!

Bahamas

We went to the Bahamas for memorial day weekend which also happens to be Broedys birthday.The kids had a great time!The weather was beautiful.We didn't want to come home!!

Stitches again

Well Bryce ,or should we call him stitches, fell off my bed and hit a chair leg with his lip and split it open and also put a tooth thru it to make a nice little puncture.4 hours and 6 stitches later.I would like to note that this was on the same day the first hospital bill arrived from the first incident on his birthday.This kid is fearless! I am afraid this is just the begining with him!!

So I have been tagged and my guess from reading Tanya's is that i need to tell 7 things about myself so here goes:
1.I love animals..all animals, I am constantly trying to think of ways to add more to my household without my husband leaving me.I dream of a farm with boots and mud up to my knees with every animal you could think of!!
2.I love to read! I will read anything from romance to self help books.When i get a minute to sit and really enjoy Frank jokes that he will see me tomorrow because i get lost in the text.I keep my books with me everywhere i go like the car, so if theres a red light i can read a little.Silly i know but, i love it!!!
3.I bet that i have 200 purses. I love purses.Designer, cheap, all colors,big, little, any kind of purse!! I love them!
4.I enjoy getting out and working, i am definitely a worker, but in my heart of hearts i love being a mom even more!!I feel so much guilt that i have chosen to work part time.
5.I am a good friend. If you need me to help you i will bend over backwards, go above and beyond the call of duty.But, if you are being an idiot(this is only my opinion) i am your worst enemy! I can be so mean sometimes i amaze myself at the things that i think to torture people really...you should pray for me !
6.I tend to get obsessive if i call you and i don't hear back. Ask my brother!He is single and i start to think of so many crazy things and then i just start to call incessantly.Ashley left for an unplanned vacation once and i was convinced that her husband had killed her and buried her in the back yard.REALLY!
7.Sometimes i torture Frank, but, i feel like i am the luckiest girl in Jupiter to have landed such an amazing man.I really give him a hard time sometimes.I am so proud to be able to say i am Marcey Broedell, the wife of Mr. Frank Broedell III!
I guess most of these things have to do with other people also but, they are threads of my life and it's hard to talk about myself and not include them!

Broedys first communion

Today was Broedys first communion. He looked so handsome in his suit.Broedy was so eager to go to church and practice his prayers yesterday that we went to church both Saturday and Sunday.As I sat across from him during service today and watched him say all of his prayers and the smile of pride that he knew them made me so happy.To see the excitement on his face was so amazing that at his age he really feels a genuine love and trust in God already is so amazing.I hope he continues on this path, I know I will do my best to keep him there.

Baseball season again.Broedy is doing great. He is now the biggest and youngest kid on the team.He excels and believe me when i tell you this again...My children do not get this from me!!!

We went out in the boat last weekend and then kayaking.We had a great day and the weather was beautiful!This was the first time that i kayaked and i want you to notice that frank is usually drinking and i am the one rowing.......i think i was suckered.Maney has a new boat and it was the first time i saw it on the water. Boy is it beautiful!!!Our friend Steve had his little girl Bella and we were able to spend alot of time with them.Bryce just loves Bella, they play so well together.

Easter Morning

They kids were up at 6:30 hunting for baskets and eggs......God help me.I didn't get to bed until 1 after hiding the stuff!! Happy Easter and God Bless

Rachel turns 12

Well my little girl is officially 12!! She had a great birthday week.It started off with a traditional St. Pattys dinner at memaws(Franks mom).Then Monday,her actual birthday, we went to see the Cardinals play the Braves with Uncle Maney(he payed for the tickets, We love Uncle Maney!!!).I have befriended the general manager of the Cardinals and he was able to give us amazing seats and also take the kids down into the dugout and out on the field pre-game to meet some players and get some autographs.They also put her name on the scoreboard during the 6th inning to say Happy Birthday.She brought her brother and her best friend Maggie.They had a ball!!!!!Then we ended the week with a 5 girl sleepover and beach during the day(no school Good Friday) and bowling that night.Followed by a 10 a.m house showing.I had a apologize to the girls on numerous occasions for having total breakdowns of the stress trying to keep the house clean.To cap off all of this excitement Rachel's friend was trying to find a home for and elderly friends Chihuahua.Well Rachel has been saving her money for a Chihuahua so guess what else now lives under my roof along with 3 kids, a 1 1/2 year old Boston terrier, a husband that thinks he is a 16 year old, and myself who feels like an 80 year old grandma......you got it a sweet little 4 year old Chihuahua.

Just a few interesting things about Rachel
-She was 3 lb.13 oz. at her 1 week check-up
-She played on the invite only 3rd grade and up tennis team when she was in 1st grade.
-We call her boogie-loo because she has monster nostrils and they were always full when she was little!!
-She is named after Rachel Hurley and was born a month early on the anniversary of her death.
-She excels at every sport.(It amazes me!!!) note:SHE DOES NOT GET THIS FROM ME!!!!!
